The surroundings were impressive and the conversation very interesting as it let us learn more about the various sectors. The reserve comprises six hectares with countless attractions for kids and grown-ups. These include swimming-pools, kayaks and boats, fishing and games such as hopscotch, table tennis and an elastic bed.
We made ourselves comfortable in the picnic area right in front of one of the grills to start making an asado while the children ran around us freely. We were provided a table, chairs and a sunshade.
In the afternoon, we walked along the trails inside the lush native forest. We got to some viewpoints that gave us an idea of the size of the venue. Then we went to the coffee place and tasted some bread, jam and other natural products that made us remember our childhood, when those delicacies were made at home.
Learning to Understand
The people in charge of the park are implementing environmental tours for travelers and schools. As the summer ends and outdoor life becomes harder, groups can request equipped rooms for their work, celebrations or just leisure. The barbecue area features a delightful panoramic view of the river and terraces that invite everyone to relax and meditate.
At Borde Río Park, everything has been designed to turn ecology into a beneficial habit. It was a pleasure for us to pay this visit and to known that we will be able to visit this pleasant space once more on our next visit to Valdivia.
