El Colorado Ski Resort is one of the most emblematic ski destinations on the Chilean Mountain Range. Its beauty and its proximity to Santiago de Chile turn it into one of the most popular nooks during the winter season.
In 1930, when this white sport began to be practiced in Chile, the first wooden skis brought from Switzerland were tested at the village of Farellones.
El Colorado Ski Resort is made up by two interconnected villages which, together with the adjoining venues known as La Parva and Valle Nevado, make up the largest and best skiable surface in South America.
Featuring a maximum height of 3,333 meters MSL and a slope of 903 meters, its 1,000 hectares are visited year after year both by experts and beginners who come from other locations in Chile and all over the world.
