A Time to Walk
The water body may be watched from various perspectives. Quiet and at peace, windless, this beautiful mirror shone before our eyes.
Another charming place also caught our eye: the small pier from where fishing excursions and watercrafts leave to take visitors down to some solitary and beautiful beach.
Cristian, our guide, spoke proudly about this nook in his beloved town. He described it perfectly: “Lake Verde is the greatest natural attraction in this commune and the steep hillsides dwelled by coihue trees provide a matchless frame”. And he was right. It was beautiful indeed.
The trails and forks were impressive. They managed to make us spot dreamed-of sceneries second to none, with the most diverse colors and shades. Time did not matter. According to Cristian, “outings are specially designed according to the possibilities of each group”. And the effort was recognized: it was a marvelous day for all of us.
The Season is Coming
As the fishing season was a few days away, we could not satisfy our will to try some casting with our fly-fishing-rod.
The locals assured that very good specimens are caught, both salmon and trout, and that they would expect us as soon as the fishing season began. This is something to be respected and we thought it was an excellent attitude.
The day came to an end and we were still there, on the beach, enjoying the warm sun beams. The lake fell asleep slowly and the freshness of sunset invited us to put on some warm clothes and start our way back.
